I was born in - Dover, New Jersey on September 25,1988.
I moved from New Jersey to Virginia when I was 8 years old. I grew up and have lived outside of Richmond since I moved to Virginia. When I was in high school, I followed my older sisters footsteps in becoming a hairdresser and started working in a salon.
Training-I attended The Chesterfield Technial Center from 2006-2007 taking the two madatory classes Cosmetology I and Cosmetology II. After graduating and getting my cosmetology license in 2008, I moved to Richmond and began my career. I have worked with a few different color lines including Alphaparf, Aveda, L'oreal, and Redken. I took a haircutting class in 2008 for the product line UNITE. I traveled to Washington, DC and took a two-day color class in 2009 at the Aveda Instatute. Most of the color theory and practice classes I have attended have been held in the salons I have worked at.
Why you love what you do here at Imago and the industry in general ?- I am an artist outside of work and I feel as though I bring most of my creativity out in my hairdressing skills. Having all the colors of the rainbow in my hair, I have really come to understand the color theory end of hair. I LOVE updos! I did a few updos for an Indian bridal fashion show in Washington DC in 2010. The last couple years I have been doing plenty of wedding updos, prom updos, and any kind of upstyle. I enjoy being around people and making them feel good about themselves. The best feeling from doing hair would definitely be the reaction someone has when you have accomplished something good for them. I have green eyes, bright red hair and I am covered with tattoos. I always have a smile on my face and try to enjoy life to the fullest everyday. I am a hard worker and I love being apart of the hairdressing world. Working at Imago has brought me into a whole different world between straight hair and curly hair. My favorite thing about working at Imago are the curly sets. I take into consideration how the client would choose to wear there hair and add my artistic flare.
